How does the exact age calculator work?
It compares your birth date with today or another date you choose. The calculation first finds completed years, then completed months, and finally the remaining calendar days.
Does the calculator handle leap years?
Yes. AgeWise uses real calendar dates, including February 29 and the different number of days in each month.
Can I calculate my age on a past date?
Yes. Select a date in the optional “Calculate age on” field to see how old you were on that day.
Are the hours, minutes, and seconds exact?
They are based on whole days from midnight because the form does not request your time of birth. They are useful estimates, not time-of-birth measurements.
Does AgeWise store my date of birth?
No. The calculation runs locally in your browser. AgeWise does not submit or store the dates you enter into the calculator.
Can I use this result for official documents?
